CROWN Parfum was born from a simple but profound moment, sparked by a thoughtful gesture from my mother. In 2021, she bought me two crown brooches. Despite knowing my disdain for random clutter, I surprisingly did not throw them away. Instead, they lay forgotten at the bottom of a plastic bag until one day, I discovered them by chance. I placed the two brooch crowns on my vanity, unsure of what to do with them.

One Saturday, my dear friend’s mother—whom I affectionately called "Momma"—fell ill and was hospitalized. In a moment of panic, my friend called me, and we began to "war-ship" pray for Momma's healing and deliverance. My friend asked if I could join her at the hospital, but with a busy day ahead and the hospital being an hour away, I initially declined.

However, the HELP (Holy Spirit) nudged me, prompting me to go and take one of the crown brooches with me. The message was clear: I was to pin the crown on Momma and tell her family that the King of Kings and Lord of Lords had all power in His hands, and that Momma was receiving her crown now for all to see. Obediently, I went to the hospital, pinned the crown on Momma, and conveyed the message. An hour later, Momma transitioned, wearing her crown.

Momma was a devout warrior for God, living 84 years with righteousness, much like my own mother who had originally planted the seed of the crown. Both women embodied the truest example of a righteous walk on this earth. My mother is affectionately called St. Katherine by her friends and family, and Momma was known as Evangelist Edna. Their lives were dedicated to earning their heavenly crowns through their deeds and faith.

Back home, I wept for the loss of Momma/ Evangelist Edna, but the HELP reminded me that her life was a light. Whenever I felt down, I could pin myself with a crown and remember the light and walk of both my mother and Evangelist Edna. That day, after showering and dressing, I pinned myself with a crown. Instantly, I felt empowered, unique, visible, and magical. My self-confidence soared, and I felt beautiful and accepted by myself.

Later, I attended a graduation open house, where a woman emotionally shared her accomplishments and struggles. Despite her achievements, she felt unseen and unvalued. As a psychologist, I sensed her need for acknowledgment and said, "I see you; I am going to crown you right now." I acknowledged her sacrifices and pains, giving her a crown to remind her of her majesty and worth.

This experience inspired me to create CROWN Parfum. I realized that while I could not physically crown everyone, wearing perfume could serve as a daily metaphorical crowning. CROWN Parfum is designed to uplift and encourage you to recognize, accept, and celebrate your worth, uniqueness, and power.
